Tell me what's happening where you live
The everyday things that never make the news: the harassment, the unsafe spots, the incidents nobody reported. If it's happening in your area, I want to know.
What this is for
This is a local reporting tool for the safety issues that go unnoticed, unreported or never reach the papers.
- Things that wouldn't make the news: being followed home, catcalling, a man hanging around the school gates, a path that isn't lit, a place women have quietly stopped using.
- Things you didn't report: you didn't think it was serious enough, or didn't think anyone would listen. It still counts.
- Help with what to do next: tick the box asking for a reply and I'll point you to what you can do locally, such as who to contact at the council or police, local support services and other women in your area.
This is not a way to report a crime to the police, and it isn't monitored around the clock. To report a crime, call 101 or use your local police force's website. In an emergency, always call 999.
How it works
- Anonymous by default. No name needed.
- Leave contact details only if you'd like a reply.
- Reports are kept private. Only combined figures are ever shared.
- For anyone aged 18 and over. Please read the privacy notice before reporting.
- Please don't name or identify anyone else in your report.
In danger right now? Call 999.
If you can't speak, call 999 and press 55 when prompted on a mobile.
For non-emergencies, call the police on 101 or report online through your local force.
This form is not monitored around the clock and is not a way to contact the police.
What happens to your report
You report
Tell me what happened, where and roughly when. It takes a few minutes. Ask for a reply if you would like help with what to do next.
I record it
Your report is stored privately. Only I can see it.
The local picture builds
Reports from the same area show patterns nobody else is recording. I publish combined figures and themes by area, never individual reports, and use them in branch packs and to press councils and police for action.
Make a report
It takes about 3 minutes. Questions marked * are required.
